Messin' with my circadian rhythms.

Messin' with my circadian rhythms.

I know lots of people are fans, and I too enjoy the additional daylight, but man oh man if the whole "spring forward" clock change doesn't mess up my system and sleep schedule more than when we "fall back."

How well do you adjust? Prefer one over the other?

Well I did absolutely nothing this weekend, so I was fine, but that was more "deluge of rain" related than anything. Usually I have a groggy first few days though.

Well, since I DJed at 3 p.m. Saturday, Mich and I were already in the midst of a 12-hour drinking session that got us to bed at the unbelievably early hour of 10:30 p.m.! So yesterday I was fine ... but this morning was rough.

I would prefer if we didn't switch at all. This whole daylight savings business is silly nowadays.

This entire winter has messed up my system for some reason, so I broke down and bought a Wake-Up Light, which is supposed to help get your circadian rhythms back on track. It seems to be doing the trick as I'm waking up before the alarm starts beeping at me (or actually chirping since it's set to chirpy birds).

If it continues working, it will have been worth the slightly pricey price tag.

Considering GalPal slept through 10 minutes of her alarm this morning maybe I should invest in one of those lights for her...
